If a former or current employee accuses you or another employee in your company of discrimination or harassment, you need to talk to a lawyer as soon as possible. The lawyer will generally want to know the nature of the claim (sexual harassment, discrimination on the basis of race, sex, religion or national origin, breach of contract, etc.), the identity of the accused and the accuser, any steps you have taken to remedy the problem, and the status of the claim, especially if a complaint has been filed to the EEOC or another authority.

Prepare for your first meeting or call with an employment lawyer by completing Priori’s employment discrimination worksheet and/or employment harassment worksheet. Our employment discrimination checklist and employment harassment checklist help you think through key employment discrimination and employment harassment issues in advance of your meeting with your lawyer. You can even send your employment discrimination worksheet and/or employment harassment worksheet directly to your lawyer, so your lawyer can prepare ahead of time and make your interaction as productive and cost-effective as possible. If needed, Priori can also connect you with a lawyer in our vetted network who can assist you with employment-related discrimination and harassment questions.

Complete these questions and we’ll email you a PDF to bring with you to your meeting with an attorney.
